This arrangement was written in March of 2020 as the world began to shut down to due to the pandemic. I sat in my studio with a calendar full of cancelled events, and wanted to find a way to share a message of hope during a confusing time. This hymn came to mind and the music poured out. By the end of the day, the arrangement was finished. The middle section of this arrangement depicts some of the struggle and confusion that many were facing as music passes through many different keys, including a minor setting of the verse. The final verse is peaceful, resting in the fact that we can trust Jesus no matter the circumstances.
